mrs_rusheslake Posted June 29, 2010 Report Posted June 29, 2010 Whether you expect it or not you WILL get the usual welcome that everyone who comes here get.... warm, welcoming and you will immediately be made to feel 'at home' Oh and a very welcome cup of tea or a cold beer. Cant imagine what the 'bad' is though... maybe pm me to ascertain its validity? Im sure there are many that will tell you more though..... Quote
syddallj Posted June 30, 2010 Report Posted June 30, 2010 Rabbit, I can only speak as I found. Had a WONDERFUL week in late May. I never caught any "huge" carp but was more than happy with the three twenty lb plus fish I had as well (biggest 26.5lb)as well as the loads of sub-twenties. I also had two cats over 30lb plus others of 18lb, etc. A total of 48 fish over the week, brilliant weather and food to die for! The fish don't give themselves up easy, you have to fish for them but the rewards are there and its a great location with excellent hospitality. Quote
bobstains Posted June 30, 2010 Report Posted June 30, 2010 I cant imagine there being any bad things said, my experience was awesome https://forum.carp.com/carp-forum/viewtopic.php?t=42817&highlight=rushes Expect nothing short of a warm friendly welcome. Expect to be made to feel at home straight away and expect to be well looked after all week. Enjoy the fishing, with upper doubles, 20's and 30's being common and cats in for good measure too. you will have a great week. which reminds me, Kim can you PM me with 2011's availability. thanks Quote
hopefull Posted June 30, 2010 Report Posted June 30, 2010 Rushes is a beautiful place; relaxation personified. My catch report is here , but I'd like to say that Kim & Ian offer a truly blissfull fishing experience. It's not just about the carp though, with meals on the dam wall a real social experience that reminds you why it's important to have good times with friends. Plus I came back a stone heavier Quote

salokcinnodrog Posted July 1, 2010 Report Posted July 1, 2010 Unfortunately I have never had the pleasure of fishing Rushes Lake All I can say is that Kim (mrs_rusheslake) does not hype up her own lake, and seems almost reluctant to post about it. I can only point you in the direction of other threads about Rushes Lake (of which there are a few), or ask Mach3, Welder, Jemsue5 and others. I think the general consensus is all positives. Quote
welder Posted July 1, 2010 Report Posted July 1, 2010 Is there such a thing as more than positive? If so it relates to Rushes Lake. The only negative is that I don't live there! I had the best week's fishing/socialising/weight gaining of my life. Kim's catering is very special and you're made to feel like a member of the family. If tranquility is important to you, this is the place to be. September 18th...come on!!!! Ian Quote
