  1. Good post and reasons which make perfect sense Sounds like you have to take as much care as you do when barbel fishing (Extreme care taken to ensure that the fish is oxygenated and fighting fit before it is released).
  2. I'm expecting the same level of performance from Gerrard as we saw against Man Utd earlier in the season
  3. I agree. I put Guardiola in that same ilk. I don't think he's proved himself as a manager who can build a club up. He took over from Frank Rijkaard at Barcelona and inherited a great team and he took over from Jupp Heynckes at Bayern, where he inherited treble winners.
  4. I'd have put Jurgen Klopp in that list as well
  5. Well, it's Barcelona v Juventus in Berlin on June 6th. Looks like Barcelona will be European champions again
  6. Come on Real, get an equaliser. Wouldn't mind another 30 minutes of this
  7. When we were kids we used to catch pike all year (Most of the time when we weren't fishing for them ). I know that a lot of people fish for them in the winter rather than the summer, but I think this is more because they still stay active compared to a lot of other species during the colder months rather than it not being right to fish for them in the warmer months (Of course; I don't claim to be an experienced pike fisherman at all, so could be woefully wrong )
  8. I make my own. It's actually a fun way t spend a day And you can mix your own lead coatings to mix up the colours as well
  9. I think (Although, it is only a guess ) that when you get sent something from a shop they include import tax in the shipping charges whereas if it were being sent from an individual that wouldn't apply (You say it is a gift); (Incidentally, I am minutes away from The Tacklebox and would happily put forward the same offer as Turnip ).
  10. Probably more so, Nige. The first 15 minutes Bayern tried to go man to man all over the pitch (It failed massively ). How Barcelona never scored a few with the space they had, I don't know. When they went in at 0-0 at half time you thought it may have been one of those games where the ball just wouldn't go in the net.
  11. Naymar makes it 3-0 to Barcelona and pretty much knocks out Bayern in the first leg.
  12. Messi shows again that he is, without a doubt, the best in the word with a fabulous send goal Barcelona 2 - 0 Bayern
  13. Fantastic finish by Messi to put Barcelona 1-0 up against Bayern
  14. Leadcore; absolutely fantastic Although that ha to be posted with the disclaimer that, in my view, it should only be used with a helicopter rig and that if you are not 100% confident on splicing it safely you shouldn't be using it at all
  15. I've never fished the paternoster, but I think it is a set up that would work in this situation. The only thing that I would question in the posted pic is the dacron stop knot. Would that not stop the lead from coming off in the event of the line snapping above this knot?
  16. I do indeed
  17. Soft braid hooklink, longer than normal (Upto 300mm depending on the depth of the silt), with a critically balanced hookbait. Hinged rig with a long soft braid section and and a short (Depending on the depth of the silt) hinged stiff section with a pop up. Chod rig with the bottom stop bead 300mm ish (Depending on the depth of the silt) from the lead. Three ways I'd initially contemplate
  18. I agree. I know that those fighting for their Premiership lives always fight hard (Except Newcastle; shocking display today) but there should still be an expectation of 3 points. Perhaps he wants a couple of clean sheets to up Adrian's fee at the end of the season
  19. I'd guarantee it mate. Burn!ey told their fans both last year and this year that they were skint and wouldn't be spending big. Fantastic achievements, both last year and this, for a club with absolutely no money.
  20. I'm sure they'd prefer to swap bank balances
  21. I think it's a pretty safe bet that we won't be buying anyone from Bournemouth; unless it's a kid for the future
  22. Wet Spam would never left him go. He'll be getting a new 5 year deal at the end of the season; with a hefty pay increase
