  12. as a one off....."casting for gold".....part of "compass" by channel 4 back in very early 90s...Paul Boote and John Bailey up the northern reaches of the Ganges for Mahseer....absolutely got me hooked on that species...one target I will definately realise.......then anything else by Jeremy Wade...and passion for angling...obviously
  13. Houghton fly club ..on the Test ....all were original followers/diciples of Waltons...most exclusive angling club in the world...oldest in Britain...1822...and only ever 12 members..by invitation only.....oh god for a bit of that river....goes for upto 1 million sterling per mile per bank......amazing fishing for true British brownies.........yep...I have read it fella....damn good book
  14. If youre just after getting a bend in your rod and in all seasons...upto mid twenty....easiest water in south cheshire thesedays....winterly pool....used to be fairly hard going back in the 80s before it was messed up...but stocked up high now and you should get a fair few off.....not my kind of water but....good for honing your methods up on....open water on the point of the front half of the pool was always a good bet....couple of us created a hard patch out there...wont say how....good winter water...very easy

  21. flexible silicone tubing doesnt have enough memory in it to cause the coil up
  22. thats the original way...works a treat though and gives you options of customising it as I mentioned earlier
  23. This is an old late 80s trick mate...we used to run it round supple tubing and then colour it up to match...or my favourite was to roll in contact adhesive and then roll in camo such as was on the bottom...sand/earth etc....but I will say its good to see it back up here as it is still a good technique
