But my understanding this season it was #1 Gerrard #2 Ballotelli #3 Henderson #4 Studge #5 Coutinio .... It's not like the Baines/Morellies incident ..... That one did puzzle me

Watched the match today from last night think it was peter Reid who didn't have a prob with Ballotelli taking it and Strachan did. Also think Rodgers has come out today and said if Gerrard is on the pitch he takes them,if not then it's Ballotelli who as I've said has a very good conversation record. I was shouting for him to take it last night

Henderson is captain and is one of our penalty takers and fancied it....... But in Ballotelli you've got a bloke who rarely misses..... Think he's scored 26/28 pens so for me he was the right man to take it. And it was a good pen aswell

I actually got to go the game last night,my 1st for a few years. Was a good atmosphere in town beforehand a good bit of banter. The game was a typical 1st leg both teams not wanting to give too much away and a ballotelli pen see's us having a slight advantage for the 2nd leg...... I'm more happy with the clean sheet

I see your point but Chelsea are probably on an even keel with the business theve done this season ..... Anfield will be a 55,000 stadium in 18 month time and even though the top 4 is the Holy Grail we've always had the money to compete with the other clubs around us. Our spending and investment has never been in question. It's City and Utd that are being hit hardest under FFP it's one of the reasons City have been relatively quiet this season in the transfere market (Bony aside)
