  1. Another frustrating day,I think I'm going to wait for a bit more of a cold snap, the carp are still far too active. If I'd of took a pellet waggler with me Saturday id of bagged a 100lb easy..... By 11.30 I was down to my t shirt in brilliant sun..... Back to my carp water for a few sessions me thinks, let the weather dictate my next perch session !!!
  2. Ding,Ding..... Round 3 tomorrow, gunna be chucking it down till dinner,so a wet set up (which I'm NOT looking forward too) then the clouds will disappear and it's going to be a nice, bright day...... Again, not ideal conditions, but,if you don't buy a ticket, you can't win the raffle!! Think ive got a bit of O/T looming,so it feels like time may be running out for me until the Christmas period
  3. We speak quite a bit actually Nige, he's wounded at the minute
  4. Over the moon with the win,but come on it was only chelski
  5. Rubbish...... Had several dropshotting so I was well pleased with that but nothing over 6o/z ..... My worm and prawn got absolutely mullered by carp in the 1-3lb bracket..... It really was spot on conditions for carp...... Next Saturday forcast is something similar looking very carpy,so it looks like more of the same
  6. Off to scratch that itch again on Saturday. Got some dropshotting bits last wk,so I'll be giving them a good workout alongside my popped up worms and prawn. I should be carp fishing on Saturday, the forcast for my neck of the woods is spot on for a carp or two
  7. There's a few good ones on there mate. Braided mainline, flouro leader, large wide gape hook tied polamar style then a clip on lead. Cast out then giggle the worm/shad with the rod while slowly reeling in. Not that I've done it before, but I have been doing some research on it
  8. Peg 4 has a bit of weed on it but nothing bad,I think ? The rest is clear bottom. Really nice place, brill cafe and we'll run. Zigs do well (ask Nige) but on the last social on there I managed 3 on chods.... I'm sure Nige will be along soon to give you real info on the place,he lives virtually next door and emptied the place last year on the social. If you do a little search I'm sure he did a good, informative write up about the session. Good luck,I'm sure you'll enjoy it
  9. It was only an hr wait for my reply...... You need to tie a knot in it mate
  10. Had a really good day,and was pleased with how I fished. Ended up with 3, sadly no monsters 2 1lbers and 1 about 10 o/z,all fell to float fished prawn,in the margins, size 6 hook and large prawn, the popped up lobs although cast around never had a sniff
  11. Well half day was booked in work and after 2 hours down the allotment I've ended up with around 100 lobs so I've enough bait to cover everything. A few Guinness now to settle the excitement, then an early night dreaming of big stripeys before the 5am alarm call...... I WILL be 1st at the fishery
  12. He allows dropshotting mon-thurs when his pools are on the quite side, but did say if it's quiet on his pools of a wk end he doesn't mind so much,it all depends on numbers on his waters. He's defiantly banned the spinners tho, anglers were foulhooking the carp,it really is a venue packed with fish..... It's why the perch have got so big,so can understand why he's knocked the spinning on the head. I might just give it a bash if I get enough to lobs..... Cheers Nige I didn't think of using real worms dropshotting
  13. A placcy worm or a real one Nige ? Never drop shotted before, but something I've been looking into trying
  14. I'm a simple soul Tim. A 2lb fish would see me a happy man,and stop the hurt of the one that got away
  15. Yes,it's me,still banging on about that chuffin perch i lost last month while method feeding
  16. What goes on in France....... Stays in France
  17. Just watched that clip Tim,I'm crying laffin here. As soon as he opened his mouth and said he's broken I had a laff. He rips into players, then says support the team
  18. Sorry Nick/Tim but I don't go along with the instant success/divine right thing. Of course you want to see your team improve every year, what footy fan doesn't. But our realistic target is champs league footy, and always has been. I think he will get time, without a shadow of a doubt he'll get to run his contract unless things go drastically wrong. I think Rodgers had some bad luck at LFC from just missing out on the league to nearly winning us a cup. But this transfer committee is a real problem at our place, and I think this was Rodgers downfall. I'm not saying he was a yes man, but a stronger manager would of said NO ! To some of the signings we've had, maybe he did end up not being big enough for the job. I think Klopp could of walked into any top job around Europe, and as I've said earlier he wasn't my number one choice, but we have got a manager who is well respected and who knows it could be the perfect match ??? When teams come in for players and offer ridiculous amounts for players (Torres,Suarez,Sterling) and the teams can offer them a chance of silverware it's virtually impossible to keep them, we may have sold our Crown Jewels but we still have quite a bit of spending power....... Only paperwork stopped the biggest/richest club in England from loosing there goalie...... When the call from the Spanish giants comes, not many can resist...... Let's say Madrid want Hazard, and he fancys a move, there's nothing a club can do if the players heads turned. The instant success supporters is just the younger society in general...... There use to getting what they want when they want and fast....... A bit like wanting a 20 or a 30 if they want one they spend there money on the 100,s of venues around till they get one or get bored and take up golf
  19. Had them eating out of his hands Tim. But he did say a few things that made sence and I think he's nobody's fool. We went looking for him not vice versa...... He wasn't my 1st choice,I'll admit, but he's here now and with all due respect to Dortmund he is at a massive club now, even if we arnt the force we were. As I've banged on all season were still in a really good position and the footy season n comps ain't really started yet. Liked how he put the 25 year wait to bed nice and early, how he noted that if the players don't buy into his system then they can go,I like things like that. He's asked for time, and he will get it. He's an ex player and I think that can help when your a manager...... Most of the successful ones are ex pro's ..... So we are where we are. I honestly haven't got a clue if Sunderland will stay up,as I've said its still early. Your thoughts Tim ?
  20. Thanks for the feedback mate,God knows why Theve booked the north but it's go with the flow I suppose.
  21. We're booked on the north lake..... It's not the venue I'm concerned about, but with it being a stag do I was hoping to get on the easier waters. North Lake looks like a tough nut to crack from what I've seen
  22. Thanks Hutch, mate. Iain Macmillian did one on there last month, and is quite responsive on FB. I'll see if he can give me a head start.
  23. One of the lads is having his stag do there, and I'm included. I've done a search on here but most of the info is dated. Any help is appreciated boys ...... It wouldn't of been my 1st choice of water, but I'm in so may aswell go with the flow.
