anyone fished there recently. lake 1 or 2 ? whats the best time to fish france .

me and a mate are looking to go to france next year. would like the following. carp in the 20-40lb range and not too hard. no craYFISH OR POISSON CHAT reasonably close to calais say 2-4 hours no need for a bait boat any suggestions based on actually having fished there recently and what month of the year would you go.

calpac has no night fishing. wraysbury too big and looks too hard for me. any one know personally of hartley witney ?

yeah googled it several times. also know of some that have not come up on the search so there must be more. asked at the local tackle shops, driven around likely areas. so thought id now ask direct.

planning early for next year. alot of my carp fishing is done evenings in the summer so really need to be in a club, but do like to do some nights also. would like a club with waters containing 20 s+. that allows nights. any suggestions within 30 miles of staines middx.

if you were to book a 2 acre lake on an exclusive how many anglers would this accomodate. if this was a commercial you would see 30 swims cut in it. a syndicate maybe 4 ? would six on 3 rods equate to 10 on 2 rods ?

how many members would you expect on a syndicate water of 5 acres. does 35 sound high ? and how much would yoy pay? low stocks hard water but classic old carp ?

didnt rejoin this year but may have a go next year. spent a lot of time with little reward. too many dogs and poachers with no permits for me. also swims were not very well kept with one side (where the sun is) overrun with lillies. i know a couple of fish got lost to the frost according to the balliff. do you fish windlesham also.

any one fish this day ticket water. was thinking of doing 24 hrs there soon.

at least i know now what went on now. i too liked this section and was one day hoping to join it, in the meantime i liked all the banter and the fact that people were "social". having returned to fishing after a 30 year break it sure has changed. i used to go with a couple of mates and we would set up side by side, have a natter, share a joke and enjoy the day. now you are so lucky to find a water that has a doulble swim and where you can be social. bring the section back (please)and long may the social remain.

as im still fairly new to all the various rigs etc, i started to tie my own from the start.i have always just used the same hooklink as my main(10 or 12 lb) but sometimes in brown and some in clear and have not had too much trouble with the hair being too stiff i think. what would the signs of the hair being too stiff be and would this be less so on short hairs.

there are 2 lakes on my doorstep in staines, middx. they are on the left hand side as you go down the lammas up towards the m25. anyone know anything about them .

the silicon/sleeve over the quicklink also helps it not get tangled in your landing net

i was about to post a similar question .in my first year back to fishing and looking to learn about carping ive been fishing a runs water and trying out many techniques.the carp go to about 16lb max.no weed or snags to worry about and on this club water there is no boiles allowed. i tend to use a size 10 drenam carp hook on the hair and this works quite well, but do lose some fish after a good take and 10-15 seconds of having the fish on.ive experimented with different lengths of hair and longer and shorter hook lengths but cant pin it down. is it the hook size ? or maybe the hooks are not upto it and i need a sharper/better type of hook. any thoughts.

anyone fish this for carp and suggest any areas to try

anyone like to reccomend clubs with good carp lakes in surrey or midx. would prefer to catch a 20 than sit there for a week waiting for a big un.

anyone fished this recently. looks a nice lake with potential as the new guys are making improvements . water level drops a lot in summer making it quite shallow. think it used to be a syndicate lake and wondered why they gave it up.

forget swiss farm in henley. did a couple of days and blanked. lake very small and had a family of mink running around and 2 resident herons. saw a few carp come out to 17ib. not well run with people allowed to fish with inadequate equipment. keith

anyone fished this.cheap yearly ticket and reported carp to 25lb but nothing much coming out so far this season .not many fishing it so not pressured but very open to poaching is my thoughts.

I am looking to take the wife and son (9) (and another family) during the summer holidays. son is starting to fish but needs to catch(anything/anysize) to not get bored. id like to go for some nice carp . prefer onsite lakes but not a bivvy job. anyone been to swiss farm in henley or blackland in chippenham. any other suggestions within 100 miles of heathrow airport. keith
