  1. you possibly could pull the swivel through but it would probably wreck the end of the stick. give it a try. as for hooklenghts that is down to your choice for what bottom you are fishing over. personally i like to use a soft braid with a stick. although i do use sticks on combi rigs and sometimes on fluro. hope that helps doug
  2. instead of attaching a swivel make a loop in the end of the hooklink and attach that to the quicklink. it will slip through the mesh much easier doug
  3. i use bristle fillament in 15lb but i use a whipping knot. you only go through the eye of the hook twice and i find it sits much straighter than a knotless knot. doug
  4. But you still end up with feed under your hookbait. What's the point?

    zig rig

wherever there is activity in the upper layers. if i can see them on or near the surface i will use a floating bait or a zig rig under the surface normally in the top 2 or 3 feet

    zig rig

to fish a buoyant bait in the upper layers, close to the surface, to entice crusing fish.

    zig rig

to present the bait at different depths
  24. i use the rigmarole 8lb hydrolink fluro with a 10mm dumbell pop up on my zigs and it works fine. i test it overdepth to make sure it floats. ita also very easy to Straighten out not sure i would use fluro much heavier though.
