  4. hi everyone, its nearly time for bank holiday fishing> AT LONG LAST.. does anyone know of a good place i can go catch some nice size carp and take the mrs wiv, place with a shower and toilet for her would be good, im from leicester but dont mind traveling, im thinking of going cromwells, heard its very well run and has showers etc but supposed to be a hard water, so prob do that that on my own another time, so somewhere like that but not so difficult fishing. thnx in advance..   5. yes kryston looks very good, if i was ever to stay from the path and use a diffrent hooklink i think it would choose ktystone, so many to choose from aswell. which 1 is a strong supple camo none coated braid? silkworm? i also like the look of the korda supernatural made a rig out of this few week ago really blends in,

  7. hi to all, i am currently looking for a new members only water in the midlands, i live in a small town in leicestershire near the warwickshire border and also near northamtonshire border.. looking for a nice venue that holds some big fish plenty of 20,s 30,s , dont mind travelling too far. anyone with any info, i would be greatfull, and pm more than welcome. thnx .   8. delapre lake in northampton is a big water a country park, i fished this years and years ago with a few friends, it did hold some massive carp 40+ i had a 39lb leather from there and my mate had a 42lb common.it was ran by the AC but the eastern europeans who dont no our rules that you cant eat our fish out of our rivers and lakes, consumed all the fish and now its about empty so the AC gave it up. then welingborough lakes stepped in and took the lease but i hear now that they gave it up also, so that prob confirms these note left in there,
  9. looks like a prison that place they call weston lawns, loads of fencing around it and huge cctv cameras and the lake is floodlite so kit shud be safe but loads of numptys go there so i wouldnt trust it pal, its a bit dodge. iv never gone back after doin a 24hour on there last year its a muddy hole

I forgot about this thread, iv drove past five way alot of times and never had the chance to pop in and have a look around,Iv not fished this winter at all, im always looking for a new venue.. when The weather warms up i shall give five ways ago, do you no if there is night fishing and what are ticket prices? thnx for your advice. russ

  14. not sure mate, i think this place is a season ticket, i had a walk around the reservoir few months back but didnt see anyone there, its not to far from were i live in lutterworth, iv heard it contains some big pike,
  15. iv fished lakside many a times mate its just down the road from me, its a bit hard 2 fish and very slow, iv spent days down there and only had 1 or 2 carp and never anything very big its a very nice looking lake tho and some nice pegs well worth ago, ballifs name is noel think its 19pound for a 24hour ticket

  18. i know what you mean about lakeside mate it is full of 10s and not alot of fish, fished there often, and its a nightmare walking around far side with kit, looks a nice lake tho, theres a place in leicester called sping grange iv not fished it yet but its supposed to have 20-30s

  21. good for you mate well done, carp fishing is awsome, just remember when you catch biggish carp to put them straight after,, and dont store them in a keep net like some numptys out there this stops the carp damaged.. light lines.. russ
