  1. Hi all, I've been fishing day sessions on club waters/commercials since getting back into fishing a couple of years ago. I'm looking for Warwickshire/Midlands waters (that aren't shoulder to shoulder angling!) I've got an opportunity to do 24hrs on Tuesday/Weds this week. Any recommendations? Cheers
  2. Meadow Pool has plenty of good doubles and a few 20's. I've only fished it once in May and had 4 doubles in a 6hr session I met 2 lads who fish it regularly, they had 14 doubles in 24 hrs. Have a look at the attached link - all the daytime shots of the 2 younger lads and the fella with the beard are from Meadow pool. http://stbaits.co.uk/gallery/main.php
  3. After reading this thread I decided I had to have a go here. I had a day off work so went on Monday. There were 2 guys on the left corner when I got there at 7. I setup on peg 8. I fished one rod to the point of the left hand island with a method feeder - Sonubaits carp special plus hemp and maize. and 3 grains of maize on the hair. The other rod I put close to the other island with a 15mm peach boilie with mesh bag of pellet and broken boilies + 10 or 20 free offerings. Nothing stirred for the first 3 hours. A guy arrived a couple of pegs down and caught a few tench and carp. Then at around 11.30 everything kicked off - I lost a good double at the net on the boiile rod and then another 9-10 on the feeder. Then i landed an 8lb on the feeder and they kept coming! The next 2 fish were hooked within 5 minutes of casting out! Then it went quiet again. Just after 3 the feeder rod went again and I landed a low double. 15 minutes later I got 2 beeps and then another and then the reel screamed off, again on the feeder - this time it was a dead weight and just kited left to right and then headed for island. I stopped it and slowly got it to the bank. It was a lovely common 22lb13oz. My PB by 8lbs!! Before i'd put the net back together the other rod screamed off and I finished the day with a lovely 13lb really light coloured Mirror. Then the heavens opened and I packed up a really happy bunny! I was lucky to have the place to myself for the most of the day, what are the weekends like? I'll definitely begoing back I've posted pics in the catch reports Well worth a visit!!
  4. Hi Neil, I fished the 'Meadow Pool'. Started with 1 rod on the point of the island (the reed pool end). Caught the Common on a Peach Boilie (16mm) on an inline bolt rig with a small mesh bag of pellet and broken boilies + a few loose boilies. Had one more run there but didn't connect. The 3 Mirrors were from under the tree in the bottom corner - I walked round the bank and dropped the rig under the tree with some loose offerings an then walked back round to the peg. I met 2 guys from a bait company who gave me some 'Puds' boilies to try and they accounted for all the other fish. They were fruity - I think Apricot and Mandarin?? I lost the 1st run into the roots so had to knock the baitrunner off and 'sit' on the rod. It was thrilling stuff! Bobbin up, rod tip round and hang on until they kited away from the tree. The owner said that the tree was the best swim on the pool, I can't disagree!! All the fish actually came between 11.30 and 3.30, but it got hot by then and it all went quiet. Not the biggest fish in the world but great sport
  5. Hi All, Thought i'd post a couple of pics - they look a bit lightweight, but these are my first doubles caught at Kingston Pools Warwickshire - caught 4 in total. I'm addicted!! [/img]
