i was reading an article a minute aga saying about a carps mouth had been damaged by a mono hooklink an a mono leader, now i nor,normally use a coated braid as a hooklink because i prefer it to mono etc but how many of you use a leader and if so what kind mainline/mono,tubing or my favourite leadcore just woundering and does anyone have any views on leadcore as ive heard if used uncorrectly it will be very dangerous dan

normaly i use armo points but now use gardener longshanks amazing i normally have the hooklink blowback style a nail the fish up to the bend

i tied one up yesterday and last night i nailed a carp 14lb absolutely nailed it was awsome just thought i would share this lol

ive fished wallys lake the big fish in there is called walley and his mate died hish name was one eyed willy

i experimented the other night whilst fishing, while catching a few fish on mono 10lb hooklinks i didnt catch a thing on my other rod which was on a green camo braid the lake bed was fairly weedy so i thought the snake bite material might be a good choice so i swapped that hooklink to mono and caught two fish on that rod before i went why did this happen

come on there must be something taht gets on people nerves i was fishing mallard on stanwick when a complete and utter noob cast over my line and stated to reel in and retrieve my maker i shouted down the bank to him but he cut off my marker and walked away what a noob anyone else had trouble at a lake

i tie my kd rigs with 20lb snake skin from kryston stripped back around about 6 inches its a great rig

the fishery is great, and you catch alot of fish me and my friends fav way of fising it is sitting behind buzzers on a good day you could catch up to 20 carp maybe some into double figures (very low though chance though) you can also catch a bag of over 100 coarse fish though doea anyone else fish here it is great
