  1. Its not a lot but i found this using the search facility :) http://www.carp.com/topic/15951-stratford-upon-avon-canal-carp-fishing/
  2. Hello Serb , i've obviously never fished there as its not my part of the world but may i suggest the usual tactics for this kind of lake on a fist visit ? ( i've googled it ) ? Find the fish , simple rigs & small pva bags .
  3. Im always on the lookout for a NEW south westerley when im fishing mate and it neednt be a strong one either they are SO much warmer than even a southerly .Autumn is usually munch time matey , they are like squirrels storing it away for the long cold winter so if they normally like plenty of bait then give it to em
  4. I cant help you im afraid but what i can do is welcome you to the forum
  5. Well how about this . One of the lakes on the complex where i fish has had a fish kill . At least 16 20lb+ fish have gone belly up . Its very heavily weeded , has now had a load of lime slung in and there are at least 2 windmill type aerators installed ?
  6. If its a syndicate then it should be quiet , well looked after and usually a pleasure to fish as you will feel part of a team knowing that all the other members will be as responsible as you are for the welfare of the fish . Regardless of stock levels . I dont know the place but at £210 i reckon its a steal . My day ticket venue charges £200 just for membership and i still have to fish with the numpties. Go for it matey
  7. He must be too busy to get on here . It happens .
  8. Is it a syndicate ? If so £210 is cheap imo
  9. Well hello there , welcome to the Sanitarium
  10. Maybe its just where i fish but if i catch 5 Carp in 100 hours i'm well happy :)
  11. Maybe its caused by that big black cloud that follows me about Must be the parallel universe thing . I cant understand it its been really uncomfortable here ?
  12. No wind mate ? Its been like Chicago this side of the river mate for about a week now . Blowing straight into my bivvy since yesterday too .... Bludy freezin' it was . Having said that its died down now . Dunno about the shallow water muft , theres not really anywhere fir em to go is there ? Maybe it puts em off the feed ?
  13. Air pressure is/has been 1016-1020 here for a while which is still quite high but i think the cold north westerly we have had on & off is more likely the problem here . Weather forecast predicts a new south westerly in the morning which is more promising . And warmer too
  14. I reckon Carpmachine will have an explanation for you when he sees this . Rightly or wrongly he has touched on the subject a couple of times recently .....
  15. Hello Daz i know nothing about the Crouch mate but i had some small chub and roach out of the Mardyke ( sth ock ) when i was a kid which was a long time ago . There is a small river/stream which is about 3 mins walk from me . I cannot for the life of me find out what its called , and google earth is no help , but i think it may well be a stretch of the Markdyke . It looks extremely fishy indeed and the plan is to prebait it during the winter if i have the time of course . Just in case your interested there are some pics on the " proper fishing " thread in the Coarse fishing section .
  16. Excellent mate , long may it continue . I'm never likely to be in a similar position myself but i feel there are far too many people in this game that take it far too seriously , put too much pressure on themselves and end up either almost giving up on it altogether ( the particular water that is ) or come on this forum moaning and expecting everyone else to catch the fish for them. Personally i like a bit of a challenge ( on the lake i fish there are 2 or 3 x 30's , any one of em'll do ) but if i sit there and blank for weeks on end it wouldnt bother me in the least because i love the solitude , peace & quiet , and dont take it too seriously . Once again well done mate i am jealous
  17. Mr Emm , after consistently catching fish like these how do you keep motivated ? Seriously ?
  18. Hahahahaha i've just googled it Far too young thin and attractive fir me i'm afraid
  19. Monster's a drink innit ? Am i a bit slow today ?
  20. I like the sound of the monster energy girl . Never had one with energy before :)
  21. Yeh mate the Bay . Most i've ever paid was £5.99 and i think that was for a stiff mono but the braids are as above . I just had a butchers and there are bundles of different braids and mono ranging between £2 and £4 ....
  22. Superb post Philip . Lets hope nobody else starts to use it and it'll stay cheap . I noticed in the tackle shop the other day that most terminal tackle is ROUGHLY the same price bracket though , of course , some are a bit dearer than others But its amazing how cheap the suffix hooklink materials are compared to just about every other brand . They cover just about every need , and i feel people are missing out by not at least trying it .
  23. Sounds well worth the money Guy , thanks for that mate , terrific review
