  1. In this situation I'd prefer to use and an adjustable zig and cast to the fish on the surface as I would if using a controller setup then once in place tweak your zig so it pops just under the surface film, this way you can cast all over the place without the need to keep lengthening and shortening the zig hook link

This could work great with something like these

  2. The fact it's choddy as you say kind of becomes irrelevant when you're able to lower your bait in as you have the control and ability to nicely nestle the bait where you want it within reason without too much fear of it getting buried like you would if casting any distance

Stick with your basic running rigs with bottom baits and fingers crossed the big 'un will be along soon

If crays are a huge problem see about leaving a crayfish pot/net and removing as many as you can providing you're allowed plus they make great eating

  3. There's plenty of fluorocarbon hooklinks out there

    what name and brand please??

There are numerous brands out there and it all depends on what you're wanting from it, to what you buy

There are very supple soft options that will act a little like braid with its freedom to move right up to a very stiff bristle filament which would be similar to some of the harder coated braids

  4. I was just looking at the aerial photos for Le Val Doré on Google Earth and noticed there are several lakes directly next to it if you scroll North

Does anybody have any idea what they are called assuming they are fishing lakes

If any help the address for Le Val Dore is

    Sarl Le Val Doré

    1, chemin des aulnes

    Guimerville

    76340 Hodeng Au Bosc

    France

Aerial View of Le Val Doré (they are the lakes next to the industrial units)
