You might have trouble getting on redmire, they only take bookings one morning in early january each year
how about one of rob hales lakes, the monument or weston park, the one lake i would like to fish is acton burnel in shrops
-
better than Terry hearns books?
-
have heard its a rock hard water
-
A1 pits at newark always loads of "vans" in the swims and only a tenner for 24 hours with carp nudging 40lb
-
willow pool my secret lake with the huge common
-
how spooky, i was on a 48 hour sess last week and another angler suggested same venue to me, says it is a total runs water!
-
what part of france are you looking at, a lot of the french site owners are members of this forum and if you can be a little more specific you will get some good suggestions
-
cant recommend sapphire, i did a good few sessions on there and had one carp out, a new pb but defo a hard water and the trains do ya head in!!!
-
hate to say it but selby 3lakes is not as good as it was a few years back for reasons i wont go into on a public forum.
have a look at fairview fisheries, very pretty and some cracking fish to go at
-

you could maybe pm jemsue as he does a lot of barbel fishing and might be able to help

Hey, i have fished at a lake for 3 days and caught 2 fish, disappointing. Could someone tell me the latest rig which could up my catch rate plz, and the most Favorited bait as well. The lake potential is 36lb.
Thanks!
you dont need "the latest rig" just stick to a simple one with a decent bait and look for where the fish are

north yorkshire is a big place, only one that comes to mind is raker lakes or emmotland near driffield but these more east yorks
-
bishops bowl near southam, think it has a website
-
think you have heard wrong about brasenose lakes, just a question of getting the carp to feed over your baits
st johns admittedly has bigger fish but lots more angling pressure, every one that goes to linear first time wants to be on st johns, hoping for a forty
have a proper look at the other lakes and make an imformed decision my friend, good luck

Have a look at sapphire lakes at cromwell, lovely water a bit on the hard side but if you get it right worth going
-
how about orchid at oxford, you wont find a more secure and lovely venue, but can be a hard water though
-
if your in pompey just as well go to linear lakes
-
why not try linear brasenose, oxford is only about 50-60 miles from you, at a guess
-
think your out of luck, yorkshire is a god forsaken county for carp runs waters
-
A lot of people have heard of problems with the A1 pits at night
could try sapphire lakes at cromwell, right near cromwell lake but it has become a hard water, though if you get a run its likely to be 20lb or more
-
bet your not far from richmond park, and probably only an hour from yately
-
the chod/silt rig can be used for bottom baits, even the great man himself (TH) recons it can be used for bottom or pop up bait, however, best not to use lead core on it due to fish safety/welfare, try a synthetic leader in stead
-
well done mr pot as i said in text congrats on the pb, and a common as well, good angling mate, both me an martin thought you have what it takes to make a good carper might see you at oaklands on the weekend your going
