Im of to B1 at easter for a well earned chill out, just had a look at it on google sat, looks real good, i fished st johns a few years back and vowed i would never go back to linear, not due to the way its run, i must add!

So will boiling kill the virus?
If a rat with weils disease piddled into a lake, it would still be safe to boil and drink the water...........a rolling boil renders all water safe.....keenook you would not last long in the wilds in a survival situation! any way this is going of topic

Weils(SP) disease
You dont get weils disease from boiled water rats carry it in their urine

well i drink the lake water down at nene valley
but i boil it first and soak a tea bag in it just to be sure

Think moorgreen is a bit of a closed shop in as much as people dont shout about it, its a lovely looking place with rumours of decent fish google the website for some basic info

which river are you thinking of rob?

Didnt you say that last year Jules ...The 30lb+ Carp that came out of the Nene recently was caught on a hinged stiff rig...But I reckon providing you take into consideration the type of bottom, then any simple rig will catch..The secret to success is definitely prebaiting, you are lucky you live nearby...
Me i dont live nearby, thats the problem why i did not fish it last year, i had membership but ended up at willow pool instead in nene valley after that huge common its about a hundred mile trip for me

Hi tinca and welcome to carp.com
most anglers tend to use fairly standard no knot rigs for river carp, same as for lakes, think the key to river carp is prebaiting, getting them used to feeding in one area, i plan to have a go at the river nene this new year, hope to get a couple out!
