  1. i always either have a stringer or a small pva bag on especially with a thin flexible braid. never had problems with flourocarbon though and i always use either anti tangle tubeing or leadcore because it protects the fish and helps stop the lien getting under the scales and lifting them up
  2. lol so i take it you didnt catch i think when stalkin your better to hide your hook in a worm i cut the head bit of it and then thread the hook down the worm and then just pull the point out of the side
  3. simple knotless knot rig mate simple but very effective and if you add some shrink tubing it will icrease the hooking potential of the rig. no offence mate but i doubt the rig is the problem unless your fishing into deep silt or weed. but if your looking to hide your hooklink then try flourocarbon near enough invisible. what rig are you using now
  4. yeah looks good i went to the tackle shop yesterday i actually picked it up and still forgot to get it lol
  5. if you mean a hook with a slightly interned eye then yes i think that is ok and cant cause damage to the fish but might want to wait for a reply from some of the more experienced lads im asuming this is what you mean http://www.tacklebox.co.uk/shop_images/hksoth4835.jpg

    cigar rig

    i think thats about right
  7. if you go for flourocarbon then it will match every thing
  8. i dont normally either
  9. i use korda IQ and a d rig
  10. i dont like the look of them either and again its just overcomplicating things just learn a good knot such as palomar or water knot or as salokcinnodrog said the grinner/uni knot. i cant really see the benefit of crimps it probably takes longer than tying a simple knot and im not sure but i doubt if it would improve your presentation
  11. i av the korda inline method feeders and use it with leadcore and a short hooklength and ive caught millions of tench and bream on it and some decent carp as well
  12. looks good yes but again i think you could make one yourself alot cheaper
  13. it looks ok but i bet you could make one that looks more realistic yourself
  14. i just use 10lb krystonite n a size 9or 10 hook
  15. dirty guy:D lol
  16. i was setting up my rods yesterday as well i started with about a foot and a half and ended up with half a foot because i kept cutting it down to find my line . thta annoys you as well when you pull it back out and it was a cm away from going through
  17. why do we all worry so much about our bait then from what i am hearing the carp are eating machines that will hoover up anything and i mite have to try the beans
  18. i wouldnt like using ready tied rigs it just wouldnt feel rite and what if its not the rite length or the hairs to long etc.what when you want to try a zig rig or something
  19. korda wide gape and i ran out afew weeks ago and ive found carp r us longshank hooks are good to and sharp
