You are right Keith as you know its not easy to find good fishing on the rivers and when you do find it you want to keep it to your self a little example a few years ago me and a friend fell on to this lake the only reason we had a look was that we found a empty tiger nut tin in the bushes,so we baited the lake for a week then went back and fished it in a banging SW wind well in on night we had 12 x40lb carp and 15 x 30lb yes in one night.For 2 years we had the best fishing of my life until some UK lads bumpt into us just when we were putting a low 40lb back.Well we tried to play it down and say it was our only fish from the lake that year but they were having non of that well to cut a long story short................................after just one summer we found it hard to get a run so stopped fishing the lake there were UK lads on there most nights.This lake was drained this year and guess what NO BIG FISH left in the space of 3 years All the big fish had go walkies. Best of luck but if you do find a little bit of heaven keep it to you self.

Quite easy fishing take plenty of good bait and pellet the bream can be a pain some times but fish with big baits (24mm).Long range seems best.

Sorry mate but i think most lads who live or fish out here are reluctant to give there waters away to just any one it can take years to find a nice quiet water but only a few weeks to lose it.Get your map out and take your pick Best of luck.

Hi I find that highly unlikely as there is an on going court case concerning the lake and house and there is to be no fishing on a commercial Basie until the out come of the court case is concluded. Try CAS-N-LAC its 20a plus with 5 or 6 50lb+ fish with lots of 30lb and 40lbs top lake.

The Rivers around ANGERS can be good try the 'Sarth' north of the city it has done some very big fish over the last few years.The Maine that runs though the city can be patchy but has some very big fish the cat fish can be a pain some times if you fish over big beds of bait.The other river that runs into the Maine the Mayanne is a very good carp river if you can find them they are normally easy to catch. I think you will find that 'Most' good fishery owners don't allow shelf life bait and yes there clients do feed there fish through the summer but come the winter they have to feed there fish yes some do feed just Maize but most of my clients chose to feed with a good quality 'Winter feed pellet' that is developed just for feeding carp in low temp's the pellet being based around highly digestible cereals with a better protein content than Maize (Maize 9% protein) with added vitamins which are essential for the carps immune system come the spring. You are right about shelf life's i would not feed my carp feed like this as the large amounts of potassium sorbet in most shelf life's stops the bait from breaking down and the bait can if not eaten can sit and rot on the bottom which in turn could lead to Ammonia problems.I have seen this many times when i have drained lakes only to find large amounts of rotten shelf life's on the bottom and they STINK.

Of course they want bait as cheap as possible they are running a business But i would think the vast majority of lake owners what their fish feeding on a quality bait that benefits them ,when i was looking to book a trip for this year i found most of the bait prices were no different to the uk ,no doubt the are some who see bait supply as a money maker , there are plenty of waters like that in the uk too, but over all lake owners want a bait thats good for the fish and good for the angler because if he has rubbish bait at a high cost he is not going back is he ! Are you thinking of fishing the river for carp ? The river 'Blavet' is one of the best class'A' rivers in northern France but not for carp for Salmon and Trout yes there are some carp in the river but what size i don't know,there is NO legal night fishing that i know of on this river. Best of luck

I can recommend 'Blavet Valley lakes and 'Etang de Mee both have good fishing and the owners WILL look after you and tell you the truth about there fishery's. Good luck

Well i lived and worked at this lake for 3 year's the lake has aways had problems with water quality and heavy weed growth. over the years i have seen and heard of a lot of fish deaths at this lake it may be different now but i cant see it. but this is just my point of view if you go best of luck.
