I think a lot of people are more concerned about their bobbins looking good bankside  than the reasons they are using those bobbins.
I mainly use 2 types, a set of Fox slik bobbins in the main and a set of fox euro swingers for longer range stuff when I want to tension the line. Nothing fancy but they do the job I want them too

Stay well clear of elphicks and orchard place
so many fantastic waters, mid Kent fisheries are a good shout but more or less every club will offer a water that is both a challenge but the rewards are there.
you also have the Medway which is free either side of the town centre stretch, probably one of the most underrated carp fisheries going, some absolute gems in there

Just had the green light for some back pay from work from 2017 and gave some thought on getting one. My circumstances are i Work a LOT of extra hours, always have. I’ve been looking at a few club waters some old sand quarry’s 40/50ft deep in places and tbh a deeper would be ideal for my fishing. With still having a youngish family and hectic work life my angling time really is at a premium. If it can give me an extra hr actually fishing then I’m all for it. 😬😎

I have a pair of cork handled 101s, 50 quid each at the time on a water where I needed something with a bit of a backbone. They are fantastic for the money, highly recommended. It really is amazing how much did you can now get for your money in the 50-100 bracket

My Lo Pro, home for 4 days over the weekend. Minute and a half to put up, 50 seconds to pack down, 3.3 kg. Great coverage as you can see, it was smashing it down. Really impressed with it.

I've used the search feature and haven't quite come across what I'm after.
I've really enjoyed fishing the rivers last season but of course, they are all shut atm. I am thinking about hitting one of the canals as an alternative - I'm not fussed on difficulty to some extent, I have late Saturday afternoon until Mid-afternoon Sunday to fish and on a bank holiday weekend turning up most places where I am (Essex) on a Saturday night and trying to find a swim or lake that isn't shoulder to shoulder is most unlikely. I have been thinking about the Grand Union, most of the stretches I've checked out aren't day ticket, or don't allow night fishing, or are too far to travel. Not looking for anyone to share their prize locations but just a general hint on stretches that would even allow me to fish would be really helpful. I'm more after a quiet night in the countryside away from the madness than I am interested in bagging up!  p.s. I'd consider other canals but most others look too far or are 'navigations' and close season applies.
    Thanks all.

Had a ticket and fished the place for 3 seasons for 2 fish, admittedly fished on and off. Put the hours in and you'll catch but not for the feint hearted and some proper lumps in there.

I use them, only had 2 outings since they were purchased but so far they are fantastic. So much better build quality than Delkims and definitely on a par with the equivalent fox alarms

At the risk of starting another Korda argument I really can't see the problem with what they do. They promote their products just like any other company does, maybe mr fairbrass could do a little less shouting when he nets a fish... that would be a bit more "wicked man"

Yes I like the idea of keeping things simple. I'm going to go down the route of tying up some basic knotless knot rigs with a short hair and get some wafters ! I've got a couple packs of Nash Fang X hooks in a size 7. Wondering what brand / size wafter would balance well with this hook ?
