The palomar knot. A simple, extremely strong knot for tying onto a swivel. I don't use link loops, I tie a loop in the line using the figure of eight loop knot, although searching the net for a decent animation of the figure of eight loop knot, I found the non slip loop on the Kryston website and think I'll be using that instead in future I do use crimps (Or krimps to be more precise ) but only if I tie a chod rig so that I can get them small and uniform.
