  1. Past hour
  2. I just use fantastic clip lock type heavy duty tupperwares for my bait they were a great investment I have loads of them - and the best way to contain frozen food since forever you have to look after them, get the rubbers out of the lids sometimes and don't let moisture build up under the rubbers and store them airing out, never with lids clipped on they must always be washed before use as they are coated with antibac for pre-sale storage to be fair the 'K'ontainers look quite neat, but so is my NGT zip up canvas insulated bait bag full of small tupperwares and tubs
  3. I Kwould Kontane it in a Kbin Just messing I'm not a fan of Korda
  4. What about buying a pellet powder so you don't have the faff?
  5. I also got tired of blitzing pet biscuits in my beautiful Ninja processor they are hard work once you reach a certain stage they mound up and the powerful blades are quickly spinning dry I will if anything be using flours and meals already done in future but it feels a bit pointless there are so many excellent pastes out there to try which are already scientifically and/or artfully designed for catching carp plus TESTED like mad

  7. Thing is different dry dog foods, different protein quantities and obviously ingredients. I will only use dog food crumb in groundbait. By law, every bait containing GM ingredients has to declare it. The threshold is if the ingredient is 0.9% or less of the bait. This to do with animal food legislation which bait is now classified under. I know Dynamite Baits have made this a headline within the bait industry.
  8. The only luck will be if the birdlife leave me alone.

  10. Any luck ?
  11. I hope you’ll be happy with your choice 👍 I do like 10ft length rods Iv got a set of ESP Quick draw rods in 3.5 lb which in hindsight were to powerful in 10ft as someone on here rightly mentioned could have been Kev ? The 3lb would have been perfect. 😏 Now ESP are bringing out a 4k version all in 10ft so il be selling off the other rods and getting a set in 3lb ….after a good waggle in the shop
  12. Trouble with DIY is it’s easy to make something rubbish, heavy and unsuitable for carp That conscientiousness tended to spoil my bait making adventures But I wish the multi million industry would use higher quality ingredients such as non factory eggs and organic non GM etc I was very shocked to find out a “highly regarded” big name old school ingredient supplier uses GM ingredients in their mixes we are talking BIG name who supplies EVERYONE
  13. Will you be mentioning that one is 8ft 11 inch ? 😉
  14. That was 4 hours worth that my daughter caught, nothing that big yet but we were just bashing them out on the whip, might get the match rod out this year and try further out for some bigger ones, I do quite enjoy watching a float sometimes.
  15. Would it have worked better if you used less dog biscuit crumb and more of something else do you think ?
  16. Is that Earith? The shoals of rudd on there I used to see. I ended with a couple over 2lb.
  17. You can splice a number of braids, from the original Kesmark Octosplice, Kryston Merlin, SuperNova, even the various ESP braids. It takes no longer to splice than tying a knot, and I can do it on the bank. As I have mentioned, those made with Dyneema are the problem, it is thinner than Spectra. Bit of a contradiction
  18. PB products? I prefer to keep things simple mate I’m a bit of a dinosaur from 1990 lol Im on quite a thin braid which was no good on soft mouthed fish but (unlike many) I actually use my medi kits and the fish healed in a couple of months I saw a recapture the second I see damage again it’s going in the bin Other than that I have good old unstripped tungsten loaded rigs in the bag to fall back on at all times
  19. Dog.. lol damn iPhone spellcheck
  20. I just didn’t like the texture Elmo mate, I don’t have much time for fishing and got proven, tested paste from a successful firm instead bit of a shame but never mind, I will ditch the dig biscuits and try something else but sometimes it makes sense to trust the experts
  21. Have you ever tried the spliceable hooklinks you can get ? They might be a good alternative to braid.
  22. I am hoping they do another rudd match at the syndicate this year, loved it last time, and we got to stock them in their new home, The pest pond 😂
  23. Thought i should post the pic of the rods prior to breaking the tip of one, BTW had a repky from Wychwood asking me to take broken rod to local dealer for them to send it back and let them see if it was poor workmanship that caused it but i have repaired it so not going back, i have instead ordered a pair of Rod Hutchinson 10ft rods and will sell on the 9ft Wychwoods
  24. We used the same technique on the Carp society’s horseshoe lake when after the big tench, then the carp would take over. Elmo would have been in his element catching them big Rudd 🤔
  25. That's a shame was looking forward to seeing you catch loads of fish on your new mix.
  26. I ditched it in the end mix really annoying texture, hard to form, roll and bind despite being very well blitzed with over 20% semolina and 10% albumen.. pet biscuits are strange formulations, never mind I got tired of making bait and never got on great with it despite being a highly confident experienced cook So I just bought some really nice frozen boilie paste instead which I will custom roll how I want it
  27. I don’t like Merlin OR Super Nova Far too loose weave The best uncoated braid by miles is Armourlink - UNCOATED Dark Matter is also quite good Dishonourable mention for Gardner Trickster which is weak rubbish and let me down badly several times Most others on market are either too thin or have a horrible gnarly surface which cuts fish
  28. Sort of, their buoys. Had a small conger that went back in I fished with the brother-in-law had a laugh 👍 I can see the coyotes but no dog. Best of luck and don’t forget the suntan lotion
