neilscatchin Posted October 8, 2006 Report Share Posted October 8, 2006 Bascially put it's a rig that when the carp picks up the hookbait,the carp feels the weight of the lead it bolts and hooks itself because of the weight.Hence the name. carperdude3d Posted October 8, 2006 Report Share Posted October 8, 2006 thats it really mate cant explain it any better but to make one you can use a lead clip, inline lead or method feeder and you need quite a heavy lead or there wont be enough weight for the fish to hook its self properly. Since its inception the Carp have often learned NOT to Bolt on Feeling the Lead, so now its more correct to call is a Semi-Fixed Lead Rig (either Inline or Pendant Style).
