steve26 Posted November 7, 2009 Report Posted November 7, 2009 use to be a favourite lake of mine, not fished it in about 10 years tho, all i can say is alot of people fish the "long chuck" bank, it pays to walk round the lake and fish "short chuck" Quote
jules007 Posted November 7, 2009 Report Posted November 7, 2009 i have fished it, its a lovely lake but dont just plonk into a swim on some ones recommendation have a look around see if you can spot any fish, carp alley can be worth a try but now its cold the fish might be in the deeper water Quote
roy12 Posted November 8, 2009 Author Report Posted November 8, 2009 thanks chaps. could you tell me from the web lake pic.is the bigger area the deep end. Quote
jules007 Posted November 9, 2009 Report Posted November 9, 2009 if i remember right, the deepest area is to the right if you have the ticket/tackle office to your back or simply put, the western end of the lake Quote
yosser Posted November 24, 2009 Report Posted November 24, 2009 being a member for two years and fishing in the british carp championships the bastplaceto fish in the winter is in inlet bay at the top end of the lake there are some gravel dugouts manmade fish there know one does and it will produce fish and one other tip see where the wind has been blowing they always follow it there best of luck yosser Quote
mrcarp Posted November 24, 2009 Report Posted November 24, 2009 Fished it many times! Nice place if you like the constant buzzing of traffic. haha....Most important thing on there is to make sure your on the fish, as written above. Fish nice and tight to the island! closer the better! That is seriously the best advise I could give. Small bag or just a single bait. The fish do show well in there so spend a good half hour looking and travel light! Quote
barryletts Posted November 24, 2009 Report Posted November 24, 2009 Have a look at their website (http://www.broadlands-lake.co.uk) - it shows recent catches, baits used and swim number . The bailiff is also very helpful !!!! Quote
