  1. i think its a pretty easy lake from memory, i use to fish it over 10 years ago before the fish kill, a hot swim was known as "the long chuck" closest bank to island
  2. a couple here http://www.carp.com/carp-forum/viewtopic.php?t=26068
  3. looks like it could do with some bushes and trees!
  4. alright david, calm down darlin
  5. she sounds terrible! u cant run a business like that, and certainly not talk to potential customers in that manner! maybe send her a message and ask her to respond on the forum?
  6. use to be a favourite lake of mine, not fished it in about 10 years tho, all i can say is alot of people fish the "long chuck" bank, it pays to walk round the lake and fish "short chuck"
  7. you the owner by any chance, unusual for members to post reviews on there first post......
  8. Velocity angling, they have a website
  9. im gonna be planning a trip soon, and i find the manner of the owner is as important as the fishing itself, so i will certainly be giving you guys a shout!
  10. hi bud, the lake is fishing fairly slow at the moment, most fish have been coming out on single hookbaits, the facilities are good, showers, toilets etc. just be aware if your coming down for a long session the lake is closed from the 9th for a match over the weekend.
  11. i drove past it today! unless its a different one... in devon? sorry this doesnt help your thread much lol
  12. did u have anything? which lakes did u fish? ive spoken to the owners future son in law, they seem very fish orientated to me, can only say i have heard good things about the complex... however a couple of the syndicate members are right tools, i was trying to find out about how to get on it, and bloke said ....oh 10 year wait! spoke to the baillif.... maybe a spot free now! to top it all off, the bloke that said 10 year wait was a match angler!......fishing carp lakes.....
  13. havent heard, know eldorado is difficult to keep 2 rods in the water tho
  14. i use to fish a lake called "Highbridge" was a gravel pit 5 miles from eastleigh, it was a eadac water, but dont know if someone has the fishing rights now, was a fantastic lake, hell, if it is open i will go back to it, btw stay away from eadac, they have destroyed decent carp lakes, ..particullary stoneham by cutting down all the trees to make it friendly for pole plonkers, oops i mean fisherman
  15. i would go for a fairly easy water bud, because 3 people fishing close is either 6 or 9 rods (depending on lake) in a close area, if i was a fish it would scare me lol
  16. i ve done broadlands a few times, i found a good spot was either bottom left hand corner, pineapple pop up over a bed of chilli hemp, or the "short chuck" which is on the far side of the lake, it tends to produce the more fish, the smaller ones come in first, so good for sport, untill the bigger ones arrive
  17. cheers bud, my office is in holsworthy, so i may be able to stretch the address lol, will have a look on the lakes trust page, cheers for the advice guys
  18. hey guys, im living on the devon, cornwall border, im having trouble finding a lake i really like, dont get me wrong, there are loads of nice lakes down here, trouble is im from hampshire so im more use to the gravel pits, with nice features etc, here is mainly a hole in a field, plus alot are only for holiday makers, i would consider a syndicate water, or possibly a club water, anyone got any ideas? cheers, steve
