well id just like to know a few measurements (all these all for a hair rig)

Ok how much distance from the hook to boilie?

How big should the actual rig be

And how the hell do i tie the loop for the boilie, so it stays completly as a loop sometimes mine pull in :'(

And whats the best braid :P

1st that dependant on the size of hook and size of boilie the proberbly is a ratio for this but i dont know it:D

2nd the lenght of rig you mean????

then this depends on person prefrence

mainly the averange lenght is 9" nowadays but used to be about 12"

but some like em as short as 3" or a 1"

3rd do you mean the loop slides and becomes just a knott

i do a over hand loop which before its tighten looks like a figure of eight

4th whats the braid for ?

There are many different answers to this question, personally I think its down to personal choice however I usually use a short hair and have my baits within 5mm of the shank of the hook, my rigs are usually between 6-12inches long.

To stop the hair loop pulling in simply tie another granny knot after making the original knot.

As for braid I use esp sinklink for 95% of my rigs, its nothing special but does excaly what I want it to, to me thats all that matters, don't be taken in by everything you read in the mags:) :)

Different people different answers!

1) From Hook to Boilie, between 5-10mm.

2) Rig length, the majority of Carp Anglers todat are using rigs between 6-12inches long, so be different from everyone else if you can. The rig length can be as long as you want it, depending on your situation. Bear in mind though that Shorter Rigs CAN/MAY lead to increased Hookpulls. (See Complicated Rigs Thread).

3) The hair loop I just tie an Overhand knot at the end of the Hair before I tie the Hook on if I'm using Bottom Baits.

4) I use Kryston Merlin for much of my fishing, although after some comments on here I will be trying to get on with SuperNova. Other Braids I use are SuperSilk, Silkworm and Deception.

i use 3" hooklengths of kryston snakebit gold, with a 5mm gap between the hook and boilie.

i fish these on a pva stick of boilie crumb, with a matching boilie on the hook.
