less than that i would imagine well fish worth catching!

Ive heard the best fishing can be from the middle of the lake where the depths are at there deepest.

Be wary of crays.

i spent three years water skiing it and never saw much in the way of carp, not that you would charging around at 30 mph in a boat obviously.

what i do know is that their is or definatly was a hell of alot of cray fish in their the guy who used to run the waterski club stuck a cray trap down and was pulling out up2 200 a day !!!!

just had a walk around saw a few fish topping in the deeper water mostly towards the no fishing area.

Took my marker float set up and it was reasonably snaggy behind the island and hard to cast from most swims!

Roydon Mill holds some huge carp mate 8)

Best i've heard of a 37 common and this comes from a good source!

Dont even bother with the deep bit's this time of year it's a waste of time, unless you want a dirty great haul of bream! Fish the margins and the shallow end where the boats used to stop.

Zig rigs and pop up's.

Some of the tench in there a massive too, so plonk out a nice bed of bait in about six foot of water and pop your bait up a few inches to avoid the cray's.

Dont bother with friday nights though because you will be woken up by fifety thousand idiots swimming about on saturday morning!

No one told you about that as you handed over your membership money did they!?!

I could not believe my eyes when i woke to find a bunch of idiot's bobbing up and down ten foot infront of me! Exactly where thirty quids worth of bait was!

Oh and watch you dont leave your rods lying about because some of them like to run through your swim!

But on the brighter side there are still plenty of carp in there, lots of which have never seen a hook!

I've fished it a few times now. Had lots of tench and bream but seem to find the carp to come in the margins when it gets nice and hot.

Was fishing on the rubble near the boat end and had a road into the corner closest to where the cars parked. Had baited it an hour previous to go back and find a few nice carp mulling over the area. That night had a screaming take and lost the fish at the net.

Ooooh the worst kind of loss too

I've had a bit of a mixed fortune over there lately myself, ten second screamer screamer at 4am and struck into nothing!!!!!

Same sort of thing at 5am and then "the invasion of the bream" just as it started to get warm.

Time for a bit of fish tracking

You can set your watch by some of the fish in there

I fished this lake when Ware first took it over had lots of good tench and bream, the crays can be a real head banger. As for carp i think there is more then people think i've seen more then 50 fish behind the island sunning themselves. I also watched them spawning and saw a lot of carp going at it. Had them feeding tight to the bank in the past most were mid doubles but i've seen a few near the 30lb mark. In the past i heard it did a 40lber which went walk abouts, i belive the mid 30 common that Ash from Johnson ross had is still in there. And as for the swimmers they never gave me any bother.
