endo871
any information would be gratefully welcome.its my first visit to France and have heard a lot about poissant chat in thier lakes is thier any at etangs de breton, what are good baits to take with me and are thier any local tackle suppliers,i do like my activ 8 and scopex is it worth taking a few kilos
fatfish
Paul's lakes are not that big so finding the fish should be no problem i would fish them like you would any UK water fish with a good bait Activ 8 should work well. There are no 'Poissant chat' in the lakes there are some big cat fish that will pull your string if you hook one. If you ask Paul he will put you right as i am sure he would wont you to catch. Good luck
cicarper
Hi mate i found that bait craft t1 is really good when the chats are a problem they just dont like it unlike the carp i fished 16 hours at etang bertie and had a 16lb common 27lb common and a 31 .4 lb mirror its not all fish action though just come back from cassien today 1 skimmer and a lost cat in 7 days down the south arm
endo871
cheers fatfish i was worried about the chats i hear they can be a big problem,im hoping i can catch my first catfish and beat my pb of 22lb 4oz for a carp, we fishing the poplars lake, ithink its very good of paul to allow nonfishing persons to go for free that means i can take the cook and washer woman(the wife)she gets a free holiday and we get fed
