shrink tube trouble

i think the idea of shrink tube is brillient but i have had more times when the hook didnt turn atall then when it turns in to the fishes mouth any tips or pointers plzz?

when you steam the tube give it a slight in turn (look up withy pool rigs) same as these, before using run the rig over the back of your hand if the hook digs in your hand in theory it should do the same in a carp's lip

It might not be the tubing but the rest of the rig, are you using braid or mono? What hook etc...

braided hooklink size 8 korda longshank x.

have you shrunk your tube and bbrought your braid through like the pic it helps the hook to turn

try tieying one up like that and see how you go,draw it over you finger an see how it turns into your finger

has anyone seen the solar rig cone it looks brilliant for getting the perfect bend in shrink tubing ie withy rig making i must get one

looks good but bit expensive for what it is,have been using a cork to wrap my rigs round to get the bends on

you could adapt it by getting a bait drill in the end to save burning your fingers

I use an old pike float.
