zig rig?

with the zig rig is it just a normal safety clip set up with a long hooklenth?

if so what would you make the hooklenth out of?

yeah, basically just a long hook-length. i use drennan 12lb double strength fly leader for mine as its quite a fine diameter but stil strong. hope this helps.

using a run rig makes it easy if it deeper than the lenght of the rod and means you can change depth just by slacking or tightening the line

but surely if u use like 12ft on iq then that is alot of ur hook lenth material wasted and i am not richest bloke in the orld!

Myself on the odd occasion I use a Zig i use Drennan Fly leader in 12lb or Clear Amnesia
