  1. do you think that you could send me that two blanked, i was thinking of using it but did not really know how to make it!!!
  2. if you use a heavier lead the lead will stay ontop the bottom of the lake bed and this will be better when a fish picks up[ the bait and moves because it will give you better indication. you said erlier that you never get screaming runs, if you do i would opt for a bolt rig. without complicating things with clips you can use a inline. you would set up your rig exactly as you have said but the but the swivel would push inside the lead and fix it on. this will make the fish bolt when it picks up the rig. as for the rejected takes, with the rig tube you are using you could put some on the shank of the hook and create a smooth small bend of about 45 degrees and this will help the hook flip over in the carps mouth and hopefull result in more fish on the mat
  3. to be honest mate your hooklenth is probly not getting tangled on the cast but when you retreve you hooklenth, all i can suggest is that you try and reel in your hooklenth really slowly and see if it is still tangled. if so then try using a stick on the hooklenth and then it wont get tangled.
  4. is that heat shrink on the shank?
  5. sorry not very well worded, what make do you use for all of the above? thats better:D

  16. hi mate i went fishing to day and used viltalin on a method at my local lake and managed three carp one 12lb one 20lb and the lakes biggest resident a 22lb was chuffed to bits my best day fihngi yet! i will post the photos when i develop them.
  17. i went fishing last saturday and used a bit of ground bait, vitalin and some corn in a pva on a bolt and some corn on the hair and mangaed a nice 10lber so not to bad!
  18. you want to get your self some vitalin it is about a tenner for 15kg and is great stuff. but in the method mix you are using now just chuck a few grains of corn in with the mix and mabe three peices on a short hooklenth and you should be away
  19. what size lead do you use on your bolt rig? i use a 3oz because i feel confident that the extra weight may hook the fish better
  20. depends what you are using for your method mix?
  21. righty then i would begin with recasting my rod every 20mins or so for about 2hours this is to get a bit of a bed of ground bait down, then recast every hour to and hour and a half. i would recomend using a line clip to make sure you are landing on the same spot to get the bait in the same space
  22. i probly would leave mine in the water for up to 6 to 8 hours depending on how i am fishing what setup are you useing? and rather that making a new thread every time you want to reply press post reply in the bottom right corner!
  23. hi, i was wondering what leaders are used for are they just a different type of way to sink your line other than tubing?
  24. depends on what water im fishing is it a hevaly stocked commercial fishery or a larger water with less fish?
