beanz
the lead goes on the end of leadcore and your hooklink is fixed to the swivel which slides along the leadcore inbetween two beads the the loop end of leadcore is attached loop to loop to mainline. the swivel should hit the bead on a take to give the bolt effect and if any snappage happens only the hooklink will trail they are safe depending on how well the loop is made on the leadcore hope all that makes sense
carp_mad1988
yer i use that sort of leadcore on normal bolt rigs wen do u think the best time to use it is i fish to reeds and 3 on liily pads
beanz
its good for soft silt and weed if you set it to lenght and its also good for distance without tangles and with a slightly different bead set up and shorter hooklink you can use the chod rig
Guest Anonymous
The rig that carp_mad is describing sounds like the chod rig to me.

Guest Anonymous
I'm not saying dont use em mate, I was just saying that a helicopter rig using leadcore as you described is basically a chod rig.

chrispayne
The helicopter rig and chod rig are almost the same. I wouldnt use it for snag fish or anything but open water, as you have a lot less control of the fish. This is because your pulling directly on the lead not the fish making it harder to turn the fish. However it is the only rig that will allow the fish to only carry the hooklink around, so it far safer then anything else.
