josh_reynolds Posted January 1, 2008 Report Posted January 1, 2008 I just found a bubble float in my tackle box and was wondering, if wether I filled it with water could it be used in place of a lead. as the lake I fish in winter is very pressured and I think I may of found my self a little edge. What do you think? Thanks Quote
carpingod150 Posted January 1, 2008 Report Posted January 1, 2008 But it'sblue, how would it be an edge? And anyway, it'd have to be completely full of water, no air in it at all, otherwise it'd float Quote
josh_reynolds Posted January 1, 2008 Author Report Posted January 1, 2008 The floats are clear and if you fill them underwater then there is no chance of airs getting into them. Quote

goblin Posted January 1, 2008 Report Posted January 1, 2008 would blow around on the bed, its only going to represent the weight of the dry float once under water once filled as water has the same density as .......water Quote
josh_reynolds Posted January 1, 2008 Author Report Posted January 1, 2008 I never thought of thant Quote

chris_rowland2005 Posted January 1, 2008 Report Posted January 1, 2008 I tried this a few years ago and could not get the float to sink. I tried different liquids of different desitys. I used one for a short period attached to my led full of boilie dip with one of the holes open. I had some good results for a few sessions then the bites seemed to dry up. Will perhaps give it a go again soon. Quote
goblin Posted January 1, 2008 Report Posted January 1, 2008 Only way I introduce glug is by soaking hooklength and a dung lead and freezing them down prior as I feel any more than this is too much of a big hit and too concentrated. plus the hooklength stays perfectly straight for the cast Quote
silly12sally Posted January 1, 2008 Report Posted January 1, 2008 I use a bubble float as part of my surface outfit. Quote
