  1. Hi all off for my first session down on papercourt in a few days and was wondering if anyone has any tips of info on the place, Thanks in advance Chris
  2. The use of barbless hooks may be the reason for the mouth damage. I dont wont to turn this into a barbed v barbless argument as this has been done over and over again. I personaly believe that a barbed hook causes less damage if it is removed correctly but the may be people on the day ticket water who are not doing this. I am afraid that the conditon of these fish is not isolated to this lake but may day ticket waters that are heavily stocked. The only advice I could give anyone is not to fish the lake and then perhaps they will conisder the fish welfare if it starts to hit them in the pocket.
  3. Been after a ticket for this place for a while but no luck so far. If you give coulsdon angling a ring a couple of the guys who work there are regulars down on the lake. Cheers Chris Not sure if you will find out much info as the place is kept pretty quiet.
  4. The silver ticket seems fantastic value and i will be getting one in june so i can fish yateley and papercourt which looks a fantastic lake too. Hope to see some of you on the lakes. Chris
  5. Hi all I am looking at getting one of these for the new season starting in June. I have been trying to find out the price but can only seem to find the spring ticket price. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Chris

  10. Hi all I am after a exclusive lake in france that can sleep atleast three but six would be ideal but not too important as three of us will be fishing 24/7 so not a great need for more than three beds for the old folk. Would like a lake with some big fish in so we can try to beat our pbs. It would be for auguast 2009 any help would be great thanks in advance Chris
  11. A simple knotless knot hair rig using 10lb mono. I use other rigs but I seem to find if I keep things simple they work. less to go wrong with it. Maybe a bit of shrink tube or rig tube but that about it.
  12. yes mate i saw one not too long ago in purple
  13. Hi all after organising a trip to france for the fishing members of the family. My brother in law is after somewere with accomodation so bivvy watrs are out of the question. . would like the lake to be exclusive so we can have it to ourselfs. A lake without the dreaded posion chat wuld be needed as never been to france and had to deal wih them before. If the lake had some cats in it would be a great bonus. Thanks for any help.
  14. I tried this a few years ago and could not get the float to sink. I tried different liquids of different desitys. I used one for a short period attached to my led full of boilie dip with one of the holes open. I had some good results for a few sessions then the bites seemed to dry up. Will perhaps give it a go again soon.
  15. hope that helped mate. if you are going to target cats more often it may be worth getting some catlink cevlar 50lb. it works a treat and is made for the job. it all depends on the size of cats you are after.
  16. hi mate if you steam it over a kettle and hold it straight it will remain staright. You can use friction to heat it up slightly and this will achieve the same result but it is a bit harder. Hope this helps mate.
  17. If i am honest i use mainly coated hook lenghts but this is what i am confident in using. This may be one dimentional but i think it all comes down to what you have confidence in and it is better to become a master of one than a novice of many. I do sometimes try something a bit different but it all depends of what i am trying to achive.
  18. I use the quick liks all of the time. Not sure why just got into the habbit of it. I suppose its because it 'quick'.
  19. same as previous post i have been using the fig of 8 knot for a few years now in both my carp and catfishing with no problems
  20. Thanks all seems to work fine. should have thought of that one myself
  21. Hi all, I have been thinking of trying out some fluro hooklinks but not sure how to prepare them. I was told that they need to be kept on a special rig board after they have been straightend?. I am not sure of the best way to straighten them. I have used steam from a kettle and this seems to work. Am i doing the right thing ???? Thanks for any assiatance. Chris
  22. dont normaly bother. Find it much easier to use a fig of 8 connected to a quick link.
