Paul46 Posted March 1, 2020 Report Posted March 1, 2020 (edited) Hi i was a after some on spodding advice. I am fairly new to carp fishing and have been using 3lb 9ft Nash dwarfs . theres a spot I want to get bait to at 40yards and was wondering if I put a shock leader on on of said Nash dwarfs and a small spod would it be capable of reaching the target ? Ideally I would like to leave the fluorocarbon mainline on as I would need to set the rod back up with a rig after . This will only be for a couple of sessions until funds are available for a suitable rod and reel. Edited March 1, 2020 by Paul46 Quote
dayvid Posted March 1, 2020 Report Posted March 1, 2020 I would say youll do that more than easily . At 40 yds I would bother with a leader assuming your using 15 Lb line or above yonny 1 Quote

malcfish Posted March 1, 2020 Report Posted March 1, 2020 Yes you should be fine. i don't use my spod rod any more. i remove lead and rig clip on small spod to carp rod simple easy and quick. Quote
