RFCARP92
What's everyone think about this bivvy I've recently purchased a one man and wondering what its like in the winter months..
yonny
It's exactly the same as what it's like during the summer months lol.... Bivvys don't keep you warm fella. Your body are the only source of heat, assuming you aint using a bivvy heater. It's your clothing and bag that keep you warm, they maintain that heat, look after yourself and the bivvy doesn't matter.
RFCARP92
Yes I get that factor of it just wondering about the condensation without the over wrap etc, as I want to be comfortable through the winter months, do you use a bivvy heater? If so what's a good one to grab Cheers rich
yonny
Nah, I use a decent sleeping bag, decent winter clothing, and the brolly I use for the rest of the year.

dayvid
FORGET THE BIVVY HEATER.......... EASIEST WAY TO KILL YOURSELF Single skin bivvy or brolly willl always condensate especially if you close the dooor , a twin skin can in most instances keep the inside dry,

cyborx
i agree with dayvid about the bivvy heater bud, i would class it as the most lethal bit of kit ever invented. get a good bed and sleep system with waterproof fleece lined overwrap and you could even do away with the bivvy. hutch

Completely agree with above. Remember cold comes up from the ground as well not just from above, I have a nash barrow cube which slots nicely under the bed chair which helps with stopping the cold from underneath. As for the bivvy it's a good piece of kit me and the boy have been sleeping under the 2 man version for a good couple of seasons now, if it gets windy have a look in the camping shops for the extra long screw in pegs
