RedWings55 Posted September 20, 2016 Report Share Posted September 20, 2016 Hi, I know there is already a thread going on this but it seems to date back to 2009 so I was just wondering if there is any new information on the pools local to Telford? I've just recently started fishing again after a good 10 years (I was a kid back then going with my dad) and looking for somewhere good for beginners! Not really bothered on catching the monsters at the moment, I just want to catch a few to get me back in the swing of things. I had a successful first two sessions in little dawley pools with some nice size carp but just blanked ever since Byliss pools in shifnal (5 mins from my house) seemed like a good spot with plenty of fish showing, but still nothing! I know a lot of people are probably going to say its down to me not knowing what I'm doing that much due to just starting (probably true) but this is why I want to find somewhere relatively easy locally so I can learn some stuff! androoooo Posted September 20, 2016 Report Share Posted September 20, 2016 What are you looking for night fishing or just days? You could do worse than pop in jaynes tackle in Wellington. Grab yourself a TAA club ticket for £21 and have a go on some of the waters. Lots of waters and some more difficult than others. The little dawley ones if it's castle/dandy etc have had a fresh stocking. Think Apley pools on the ticket are relatively easy as well but never fished them. I'm in Shifnal, never fished bayliss despite being there 3.5 years. Had a walk round and it didn't appeal.
