Line Lay Shimano Ultegra Reel

Hello everyone, just had my shimano ultegras back from a shimano service, iv spooled one reel up and it the taper of the line is tapering from low at the back to high at the front of the reel. Hopefully the picture gives you a better idea, i was wondering if there is a way to adjust the taper to match the taper of the spool itself as the spool is full at the top and under filled at the bottom. Washers under the spool is how it's adjusted. They must of changed the arrangement in the service.

That line shape is supposed to aid distance casting. You must have all 5 washers under there for it to lie like that.

But you're going to have to put more washers on there for it to load more towards the bottom of the spool???

Removing any of the 5 will taper it more to the front.

Hi 

on a similar subject I’ve just bought the ultegra spod reel to match my 14000 xtds do you use line lay spacers on this ? It does come with them ? I’ve fitted them to the xtds for an even line lay as per the Shimano video on line one thick and one thin to each reel
