andrewtrace
Having tied a couple of rigs yesterday and look ing at them in water , the hook length does not really hold the bottom - so rig putty needed, problem going at 6 am tomorrow before shops open - any suggestions, is there something similar from Hardware stores ? salokcinnodrog
Mud rubbed up and down the rig. Lead coils, the inner from Leadcore, coiled around the rig in places. Next point, always keep some putty in the Tackle box!

Agreed, although you may want to run a black marker pen over the leadcore inner before you wrap it in place if the lead is shiny. Some leadcore inners have a shiny finish some are dull, it just depends on what sort you have in your box.

patos1
are there any other alternatives like plasterice Failing to procure some plasterice you could always try plasticine Just had a look at ebay prices for putty, the most expensive one was Kryston Heavy Metal at £6.19 with free postage so yes, your shop is ripping you off. Plasticine can be used as a weight, but its not "heavy" compared to putty. Like I said in the above post, rub the hooklink in mud or clay
