newmarket
No idea really Jon but having looked at the estates website it would appear that they dont let any tom dick or harry fish there . The lakes are 'available' to hire , as im sure you have looked yourself . Cant find ANY other info anywhere mate . Lovely part of the country though mate . Maybe Dal might know , he's nearest i think ?
cyborx
thanks Tim, i never actually thought of seeing if they had a website Dur!! lol a good friend of mine is living on the estate atm and one of the lakes edges onto the place he is living in. he has been granted permission to fish the lake and the offer extends to his guests (YAY!!) so i will be coming down in late august to sample southern hospitality his buddy 'the gamekeeper' says that the lake he has access to hasnt been fished in the incumbent Earls time (some 27 years) so it should have some nice originals in it Edited June 5, 2015 by cyborx chillfactor

chillfactor
Good luck mate sounds good to me .... let's hope they haven't stunted with lack of different blood lines , it could go either way. I fished a old estate lake dug by capability brown. generations of neglect & lack of any sort of fishery management meant that the fish were literally carbon copies of each other and didn't grow to any size . but it could have record braking stunning old warriors in it .....the fun bits finding out Edited June 5, 2015 by chillfactor newmarket
