Two turn twice tucked blood knot

Evening guys,

 

Been tying up my own chod rigs and getting used to working with he stiffer materials. Just wanted to confirm I have got the swivel knot correct, I have been setting them up so the knot is not pulled right down to the swivel to leave a loop but is pulled down tight with the tag end which is then bobbed.

 

Is this the right knot for the job, using 2 turns rather than the 4-5 on this example?

Yes it is; although a lot of people no longer tuck it through the second loop.

 

You can also get a crimper. Much easier than tying a knot with stiff material (Especially with cold hands ) and much easier to get the rigs exactly the right length.

That looks right enough. Moisten and pull tight. With braid I use a groove on the handle of my boilie drill to hold the hook by the bend when snugging it up so I don't accidentaly run it into my finger.
