nathan 16
From what I have seen, most anglers will have both of these rigs (hinged stiff and chody) in their armoury. Both rigs have similar presentation, both are used in some of the same situations (anti tangle and long range, presenting pop ups making them useful over leaves for good hook clearance from debris, and both have a solid presentation over most conditions) So, both of them have uses, but if you could only use one for the rest of your angling days, which one would it be? slackeddy
if i had to use 1 for the rest of my fishing days it would have to be the stiff minge

salokcinnodrog
Neither! I much prefer a standard braid presentation, for pop up or bottom baits on a pendant or inline lead. I try not to use anything that goes with a helicopter lead set-up at all
grangemilky
I only use the chod out of the two. I use it for deep silt, weed, or generally fishing areas I can't be to certain what I'm fishing over. I never find a use for the stiff hinged rig, I have plenty of other options for pop ups, namely the multi rig. newmarket
