salokcinnodrog
Sounds like a good water. A method I know works with worms on the hook is the float and lift method. Slightly overdepth it will work for perch, tench and carp. I can remember one gentlemen on here used to fish like this a lot stalking his carp, fished with a centre pin he really had a few good fish. Obviously don't fish a pin unless you're used to it, but you do have really good control. As for hooklinks, I normally use 'stuff' as well. I keep a spool or 2 in the tackle bag and some spare Drennan Super Specialists just for it.
androoooo
There's an area they patrol from out the back of an island. You can't fish behind and the fish spend a fair bit of time behind there. Sometimes I just go and watch them as they often show themselves safe in the knowledge they can't be fished for. They'll then come out along the island margin which is only 10 yards away. What kind of rod and line would you recommend given the carp go to mid twenties maybe more? Pulling in a perch on carp tackle isn't fun but mindful if they get behind the island on a run my line could be rubbing against the island with an inevitable break. snowman01
Just a thought, but on such a small water I wouldn't be casting at showing fish, with such a high stocking density they are probably more wary than usual to angling pressure. On this kind of venue with cute fish I reckon a softly softly approach, only a little bait, slack lines etcmight work better. Like getting a few different spots prebaited like you have been doing, picking spots that aren't fished all the time too.
