heskymo23
I have to agree with Gazmeesh on that one, it's very subjective too on the quantity and quality of fish that you want to catch, do you want tons of lower doubles and singles(go anywhere in the Uk) or quite a few upper doubles and twentys, or would you prefer a few upper twentys with the chance of a 30, 40 or even a 50/60? I sent you a PM as food for thought.

While your at at it peeps why go abroad to Spain...weve got beaches in the UK or why to Ireland for the Craic.....you can buy Guinness in English pubs!! Why go to France with his mates?......because he can! Go for it m8........you'll have a great time! PM'd ya Steve
johnhere
Tell you why I go its simple. Its more of an adventure, its a holiday, better weather, good roads to drive on, meet some great people so have a great social time, and catch a few fish. Also I eat out at least once so have some great food and one of my trips this year (have 2 booked) I am tying it in with watching the Le Mans 24 hour race. Carp average 20+ to over 50 Cats to 62+ Sturgeon to 35+ Use of caravan with 2 showers & toilets cooker (works on Euros) fridge all for £200p.p. drive and survive. fishingswampie
Mate its each to their own. I go to France fishing for the whole experience and not just to catch a monster. A big fish would be nice but if i catch small fish or no fish at all then so be it. Anyway with what you have requested i would suggest a couple of lakes that i have fished personally. I have fished a place called La Vielle Douve and also Rushes Lakes. Both are runs waters and i had fish to over 30lb from both but it depends what you want. Rushes Lake has a fantastic food package and La Vielle Douve has a fully equipped mobile phone next to the first swim. [LINK DELETED] Good luck mate. Malc 1950
If you don't want to book direct with a lake owner i would go to a reputable company like Angling Lines or Hooked on France. You can trust them.Read other forums mate and find out who you can or can't trust when it comes to booking a fishing holiday through a company. insomniac
Steve if you read my post properly you will see that i said go to france for the chance of a fish of a lifetime but join a club for a runs water. i did not say dont go to france at all Fair enough Gaz.... it could be said I didn't quite pick up the jist of your reply m8, however, if you read HIS post properly you'll see that he actually said "I am looking for a bit of a runs water not to bothered about catching a monster", he didn't actally say he wasn't bothered about the size of fish! IMExp....most French Runs waters will be more prolific than the UK equivalents and generally give the angler a lot more space than in the UK. Also most decent Uk clublakes (or ticket lakes) are normally rammed full and unlikely to offer 4 guys exclusive use of even 2 acres of water let alone something bigger. For example we offer exclusive use of a 10 acre section of our main lake or exclusive use of a 2nd 5 acres lake. Most decent French fisheries will also be able to offer plenty of space and plenty of fish so.....like I said ....GO FOR IT M8 you'll LUV IT!
