  1. Fished here year before last. Its a stunning looking lake and the best advice I can give is to listen to Sue and Kev (if he is there) as will help put you on the fish. The marginal shelf mentioned in previous post is a fantastic stalking opportunity so be prepared to stay a bit mobile as i stalked a few out during the week. My brother fishing the bottom corner of the lake was put onto the fish by Sue and had a great week with some cracking fish to mid/high 30s. As also mentioned previously more fish were stocked last year. Baitwise Maple and Tigernut did the business. Also go for the breakfast as it really sets you up for the day.
  2. You could do like Jamie and take your wife. Mind you i go to get away from the wife.
  3. Perhaps the mods would tidy this thread up as i can see it the guy asked about Rushes Lake and the thread has for whatever reason been changed to start talking about another lake. I have fished Rushes on a couple of occasions and had a thoroughly enjoyable time with lots of quality fish caught and some great food consumed with excellent hosts. I would certainly have no hesitation in recommending Rushes to anyone looking for an out and out runs water.
  4. Perhaps Johnhere should also have mentioned he is something to do with this lake.
  5. From what i have read you will need rock hard baits as the place has loads of poisson chats and also some crayfish. Other than that i dont know. It would be worth doing your homework by reading the various forums as you will find loads of information on the place.
  6. You will have a great time mate. If you need any tips let me know.
  7. I have 8000 gtebs and have not been found wanting on the lakes i have fished in that region in terms of size.
  8. Rushes lake is a fantastic venue that i have been lucky enough to fish twice and will definately return. Kim and Iain are great people and the food package is legendary. (you will need to go on diet upon return) lol The fishing is great and last time out myself and brother had around 69 fish in the week. Its the first time since i have been fishing that i almost reeled the rods in to get some sleep. You wont regret a week on Rushes.
  9. Mate its each to their own. I go to France fishing for the whole experience and not just to catch a monster. A big fish would be nice but if i catch small fish or no fish at all then so be it. Anyway with what you have requested i would suggest a couple of lakes that i have fished personally. I have fished a place called La Vielle Douve and also Rushes Lakes. Both are runs waters and i had fish to over 30lb from both but it depends what you want. Rushes Lake has a fantastic food package and La Vielle Douve has a fully equipped mobile phone next to the first swim. [LINK DELETED] Good luck mate.
