Hi Danny_Gilbert, Me and my son are trying france for a first time next year.Try rushes lake ,great communication with Kim + Iain(owners),couldn't help us enough with everything(tackle,food,etc).Them and the lake come highly recommended and respected by a lot of fellow anglers.We are really looking forward to our trip in April.Worth giving them a look before you book elsewhere. Tight Lines.

Hi and thanks to all replies, Have now booked Rushes for early april,which I must also say that Kim + Iain have been more than helpful with all I have asked for regarding my trip.Only talked through email but would highly recommend already.

Hi,can anyone tell me the earliest month of year that people can expect to catch good carp on French waters,I have been told the latest is around end of October.Looking to book for early next year due to other commitments.All replies fully appreciated.

Good luck Johnbate, used insect repellant think they got use to it after awhile,it started working then had to keep topping up.As I say hope you have a great couple of days,would be great to hear how you get on.

Cheers Johnbate, Had plenty of carp around 3 to 3.5 lb,but during day too may flies around which was very off putting.Water was apparently well down the guide took a carp of 14 lb 8 oz.(nice fish).But great experience.

Hi fellow anglers, Thinking of booking a week in May at Rushes lake which is near to Le Mans in the Sarthe Region of North West France. Has anybody any experience of this lake ,couple who run it Kim + Iain sound ok. All replies appreciated.

Going on holiday early October,hope to get a bit of carp fishing in,in touch with a company fishing at a place called Aljustrel in the Alentijo,it is a 140 acre lake.Has anyone every heard or fished this water ?
