im going to pop up and have a look saturday to see what ill be up against, would that be the normal peperami or spicy, always got a pack of 5 spicy in my bait bag

hows this place fishing? will it have calmed down at weekends with the colder weather coming in now? looking to fish a place where ill get a few runs and a good chance of a 20lb+, i was thinking of going thorpe lea but that gets rammed at weekends aswell so not keen on driving 2 1/2 hours and not being able to get on.

im also local in swadlincote so would also be on board. keep us updated

i fished this a few weeks ago for a few days. I had a 15.4lb mirror, there lovley looking fish. A couple of blokes 5pegs up on the wood side in the shallow part had a few. One of them a 18lb and the other a 28lb, they were fishing with fishmeal boillies. Im making this my main lake, id give the shallows a try thats where ill be heading for next. There is a mussell bed out in the middle aswell which is a good spot for the carp. I wudnt bother with particles much as i got pestered with bream. Hope this helps mate

done a few sessions on this lake now and its a fantastic lake and the fish are in mint condition. lake 6 has the bigger carp in along with catfish. if you speak to gary the bailiff he will tell you whats what, he was a real big help on our trip there and point you in the right direction. ill be heading there for a few winter sessions.

hi all. anyone got anyinfo on who owns this lake yet. also as anyone got more info on the bottom lake by the traffic light and bridge. i went piking down there this morning for a few hours and over the other side of the bank there was a few bivvys set up. it did say birchmoor owned it on a board nailed to a tree, a few tree's had fallen down and access to the pegs was dificult so guesing knowone owns it still.
