hi all, i live in the midlands (west bromwich), and i've been doing some fishing at bluebell lakes with my 15 yr old son, but its turning out to be expensive per visit so starting to think it may be better to join a syndicate? we don't mind travelling as i drive for a living anyway. I was gonna join stanwicks, kislingbury, but we went to visit beforehand and wasn't impressed with the condition of the grounds/lakes, so didn't join, ended up that weekend going back to bluebell??? we are both into the carp fishing with a passion and have even talked of doing a france trip? but thought the money would be better spent on joining a syndicate? what we both like about bluebell is the convenience of being able to drive to the peg as we both have lots of equipment and tackle and it makes it easier, obviously there are other factors that we like but feel like we are getting drawn to the place but feel like its over priced and would like to try and find an alternative? we are planning on doing a weeks fishing in our bivvies within the next week or so and bluebell charges £180 each for this - when this amount could go towards a syndicate membership. i have looked at horseshoe lakes, but know nothing about the place? any info on anywhere decent would be appreciated. thanks all
