muchsokid
Being reasonably new to Carping and having no previous fishing experience (even though I am a ripe old 50 year old) I have been using ready tied rigs so far. However I really would like to tie my own rigs for obvious reasons. The trouble I have is finding some really basic instructions either in book form or on dvd as everything I come across presumes some previous experience. So a basic few rigs with what equipment I need and instructions on how to tie is what I need. Any tips would be really appreciated as I have been bitten by the Carp bite. Thanks Guys

bobstains
Hi As suggested you tube has loads of vids of different knots, rigs etc. HERE is a thread on how to tie a basic knotless knot and a few others. HERE is a thread that has a link to animated videos of various knots which comes in handy when learning them. One thing I will say is there is no need to overcomplicate things when it comes to rigs, one or two basic rigs cover 90% of my fishing needs. Practice with some of your mono line first so you don't waste any hooklink material practising. have fun
