chrisbonnie
im fairly new to the carp game, was looking at different coloured bait floss, wouldnt thread to the same job, and be a hell of alot cheaper too?
tonybranno
Thread might do the job but its very thin and will cut into the boilie when tying it on. Bait floss is just coloured dental floss but it is flat in shape and holds a boilie much more securely.
robaldinho
bait floss is just unwaxed dental floss, you used to be able to buy it but unfortunately you can't anymore
salokcinnodrog
No, you can pay silly money to get it from Nash as Nash Dental Floss or you can buy ESP Hair Braid. The other alternative is to tie a Uni knot at the end of your Braid and then put a Bait in the Loop and pull it tight. Knotless Knot your hook on with the hair length you require. Its then an easy enough job to put a fresh bait in whenever you need to. The Bait doesn't pull out even on a Hard cast as the Knot can be pulled just breaking the skin of the Bait. salokcinnodrog
Nick How do you tie the uni knot? Best pic I have seen is this one: http://www.fishing.sh/htmfiles/knots/uniknot.html It can be used for Hooks, swivels, Line to line or as I said, just to create Loops. If you tie it tightly when you make the loop and pull, the only thing that will happen is that it tightens up. The same if you decide to use it as a Loop knot for attaching your swivel or hook
