chunkiesgreat
What about Elphics in Kent? I suppose it depends where you are coming from and what you would like to do. Is it just fish a lake/res or would you like to dip into some river action as well?
jules007
if your in pompey just as well go to linear lakes
glenw
france?
pompeydan27
france is booked for next may glen....can't wait, but till then i will be fishing in this country. not really worried about travelling, upto 300 miles from portsmouth or in that range isn't a problem. linear isn't really some where that interests at the moment, with the amount of tackle thiefts being reported there at the moment. elphicks is on our list to fish chunkie, and am looking to only carp fish on a lake/res as have done alot of general fishing over the last few months through teaching and tutoring new fishermen

jules007
how about orchid at oxford, you wont find a more secure and lovely venue, but can be a hard water though
pompeydan27
yes ward, bluebell does looking inviting for a weeks fishing. as for orchid lakes i have fished that for the last year and agree it can be a hard water, but a great place to fish, however want to try else where

pompeydan27
have i got i right that there are a few lakes on the complex? whats your best advice for fishing the place?
glenw
yes mate there aew six lakes if you want a few runs then pit 2 or 3 pit 4 has alot of bream and some nice carp in there and then there is 5 and 6 which are bigger pits with the bigger carp in. fishing it best bet is to drive round and watch the water first then most tactics work but freezer baits and pop ups do it for most. hope that helps glen
pompeydan27
all sounds good, is it a weedy water and is it a secure place to fish? the £10 for 24 hours, is that for 3 rods or 2?
glenw
pit 6 is vey weedy in places at the min but the rest are fine mate, i would say its very secure mate the gate gets locked at night too, and the price is for up to 4 rods at the minute pal
