Dingle fishery

ive heard the one in great whitley holds some decent fish upper 20s i was told was thinking of fishing it this year 8)

 

fished there for 2 yrs off and on, best fish 12lb 6oz, if there are big uns in there they have probably been taken out for stocking the private lake thats been built, any questions pm me

glorified duck pond,, not heard anything about it re opening though,,seems daft to keep it shut

 

Jason, I have to agree about the duckpond thing. As I understand it, it's now owned by a private individual who allows family and friends to fish it.

 

To be honest, they are welcome to it.

Joe, I agree that it's a pretty place to be, I would describe it as a pool rather than a lake.

 

It started life as an irrigation pool serving a potato/vegetable farm and became a small fishery when commerce overtook farming.

 

I'm aware that you had an affinity with the place but life goes on, mate.
