Guys I’m looking at getting myself some big pit reels but not sure what ones to get as there are so many to choose from! Now I’m not one to spend big bucks but at the same time don’t want some budget reels that won’t last a season, or some big chunky thangs! I’m not bothered about the colour or anything more looking for a good all rounder with a fast drag, preferably not to heavy either! As I was looking at the sonics x 8000 which are going for £50 but on the reviews they said they were quite heavy. I’m after a set of three max budget of £200 any help would be much appreciated

Any one have any experience with these waverunner shuttle bait boats as my Friend has one and let me borrow it but when I was testing it before I used it I noticed the hopper wouldn't open while it was empty so I put some batteries in to add some weight and they opened is this normal?? also when I tried to get the hoppers to open when it was empty the lights would come on saying it was open when it wasnt. I didn't end up using it in case they i get to where I want to place my bait and it doesn't open where I want it.

Hi guys anyone from Spain or knows how the fishing works out there as my friend has a place out there and was thinking of taking advantage of that n go fishing in Spain. Now I know you can fish the Ebro but don’t think he’s close to that but he is close to some lakes but don’t know how to get licenses and stuff

Guys I'm thinking of giving the zigs a try keep hearing so much about them but honestly don't really no how to use them. I have tried a few times but failed. I think I know how to make them and have a zig float to make life a bit easier but what size zig would I use with the float I was thinking 3ft but not sure. Also when making them what hooks would you suggest as was thinking mixas. And how would you know where to start depth wise or would it depend on the air pressure say if it was high work your way down if its low work ur way up or always start from the bottom?? Most importantly can u still spod out over the top this time of year?

Typical plan to go fishing for my birthday and the lakes are frozen over! How will it effect fishing? As I’ve herd mixed opinions that when the ice goes it can fish really well and also herd that they shut down

I to be fair we was thinking about farlows but when ever I've gone there before it is always ram jam and with the winter deal going can imagine its still just as busy but will probably head for that area and give it a look and go from there. What other lakes are near farlows?

Hi guys happy new year. Thinking of going down Thorpe lea for a social on my bday due to the stock levels and and it’s winter form but everyone I talk says the same thing you don’t want to go there the fish are in a bad way but is it just their mouths that are bad as I’m not expecting to catch anything special just want a few runs. As my usual lake has slowed right down so thought I’ll try somewhere else

Guys I'm looking at getting a new bed chair and was wondering if you guys had any recommendations as there not exactly cheap. But I'm thinking about getting one that will suite someone who's 6ft as I have one now but my feet come over the end also one that you don't really feel the frame on your knees. Cheers

Guys me and a friend are trying to crack a new water and we've been walking the lake talking to people trying to learn what we can but a lot of people claim to not know what works so we're going to have to do it the hard way and run a few tests and possibly blank a few times but when testing a bait to see if it works how long would you test it for before trying a different bait? As my friend caught one the other day on pink fake corn but being this is the only one we've caught I don't know if it was a fluke just in the right place at the right time. But at the same time I don't want to ignore it in case either corn or pink is part of the key so I was thinking of going with a small pink pop up while he uses pink corn. But not sure how long should persevere before changing as you never know when your on the fish as they are quite shy and don't really show themself to much

Guys I've been fishing a easyish commercial and have done really well there before but the last few times ive really struggled even when on the fish all I can think is maybe the bait or I'm just going through one of them bad spells so I was wondering how you would approach a commercial? That way I can compare with what I'm doing and change bits.

Guys has you every thought about surface fishing and how easy it can be to draw the carp in. Now is there anyway we can do this on the bottom? As I've thought about fishing bread on the bottom and soaking some mixers so they sink but the idea of the bread on the bottom not lasting to long getting softer every second make me question the idea and then I think about the time I tried topping my luncheon meat with bead and done quite well on it makes me think hmm maybe there is a way.

Only gone and smashed it in france we got the double peg as planned and managed to land 16 fish with a few lumps as well I had two 50s biggest being a 57lb and my mate had the lake record fish at 62.14lb. Thanks for all your help especially you yonny as I took your advice on how many rods to put out and ended up only fishing two rods and caught the most fish!😀

When a fish jumps out the water what does it mean as I notice sometimes they jump head and shoulders out the water and other times they just poke their head out. Is there a difference between the two as I herd that one is a sign to say their there feeding and another means something different I can't remember.
-
I personally always struggle with the marker float and second guess everything I find yet I know what the signs are with the tap tap being gravel and and when it plugs in its usually silt but how do you know when your going over a bar or come across a dip in the lake bed without having to bring the float to the surface? Also what things would you look for as everyone says about finding the gravel spots but what if there is no gravel or its a mainly gravel bottom? Or is it just a case of if the lake bed is mainly soft find the harder spots and if its hard/gravel look for the soft spots? Also where would you place your rods on these spots that you've found would you fish somewhere in the middle or stick to the edges of the spot??
-
Sorry I should of said not to find fish lol more for mapping out the bottom of the lake and finding the depths. My bad!
-
Is there any major difference between a deeper pro plus to a bait boat fish finder?? As a friend is thinking of getting one for his boat when I suggested the deeper as you can attach it to a boat or cast it out. What do you guys think as I've never used the boat ones.
-
Anyone know of any shops/ companies that sell second hand bait boats?
-
Talk to me what do you mean by 6 rods on top of them may push them out? Is it because the angling pressure in one area of the lake or did u just mean 6 rods on one spot? As the swim covers a lot of water and the lake is going to be very busy with 8 out of 10 swims being booked so should keep the carp moving. And say we had a good head of fish holding in a area how would you go about fishing it either side to get that bounce back effect you were saying. Would you just fish the edges of the area of put one or two in the middle? Or if you were to fish on the edges how many rods would you put either side one or two?

Also there a ban on all particle so just boilie and pellet

How would you guys fish as a pair in a double swim? As I'm going on my first trip to France soon with a friend and as its our first time we thought it would be a good idea to pair up in a double swim so we can help each other out with netting a taking photos but then I thought we could also work together and share all 6 rods and take it in turns that way hopefully we both get a fish or two each or even say we found a nice spot bang in the middle of the swim big enough for two rods and both place a rod on it each and just share them to rods in case we didn't want to share all 6. Or if we didn't share and just fished with our own three rods what could we do as a team to help each other work out what the fish want and where they want it as were both most likely take different baits and fish differently.
-
Nope never heard of it mate any good? They have changed that rule at Gabriel's with catching a 18lb you just need a cradle or one of the tripod weighing stands.
-
Guy one of my rods has turned cloudy from a really wet fishing trip now I've never had this before so what does it mean is my rod now no good or can I still use it? And is there anyway to get rid of the white stuff?
-
Looking to invest in a spod/marker rod only looking for a cheap one.I Was on one website and they had a spod rod on there for £55 which was 5lb test and then there was a spod/marker rod for £75 4.5 test both. Are there certain thing to look for when choosing a spod/marker rod
